Who am I?
Hi! Welcome to my website. My name is Daniela (she/her). I decided to create this page so that I could have a platform to share my reviews and analysis of all things literature and media. There will be a multitude of genres throughout my posts, ranging from action-adventure and dystopia, suspense and thrillers, and maybe even a little comedy.
With a background in English, Cinema, and Gender studies, I will be reflecting on these works through an intersectional perspective as well as focus on the historical context of the culture at the time of release. My content will not only dive into the language of a text or the visuals of a movie or show but will also go one step further to identify and critique notions of race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, age, and general isms that are discriminatory.
This may get a little heavy, but hey, aren’t we all a piece of work?
